Coming up with a logo was one of the most challenging projects when I started krapyDNA, especially because I'm not a designer myself. I knew I wanted something iconic and versatile that could be used in many different ways but coming up with something original and unique to krapyDNA proved to be a difficult task.

My designer Ray and I had some long brainstorming sessions and he must have filled up pages and pages with random sketches. I think the turning point was when we decided to incorporate the DNA helix into a character in a subtle and non-imposing way. Some people don't even realize it's there! After a few more sketches and tweaks here and there, our logo, krapy, was created.

Here's a really short progression video of how krapy came to be. There are some really random sketches in the beginning but towards the end you could see it all come together. Enjoy!

If you watch one thing today, watch this interview with Scott Harrison, the founder of Charity: Water. His story is the exact sentiment that krapyDNA tries to capture which is that ordinary people can make an extraordinary impact on this world. He went from an empty life of partying, drugs, girls, and clubs, to one of profound significance, funding over 6000 water projects and bringing clean water to people across the world.
The thing that sets people like Scott apart is that they are able to dream big and do anything to accomplish that goal. Even if your dream isn't as big as Scott's, are you willing to go through whatever you need to do to accomplish it?

Question: What's something big or impactful you want to do?

I'm so happy to announce that the adoption krapyDNA has been supporting is finally starting to come alive! In case you're new to krapyDNA, the head pastor of my church, Grace Community Chapel, felt led by the Lord to adopt an orphan from South Korea. Him and his family went through a long and arduous process but finally they've been paired with a beautiful girl named Shi-on.

Shi-on and future Mom!

Unfortunately, the process isn't complete yet. Although the family has been paired with Shi-on and were able to visit her a few months ago, the Visa process still needs to be sorted out before Shi-on can come to America to her new home.
In the meantime, there are still a few shirts left! 100% of the proceeds from these shirts go directly towards the family to help offset the costs of adoption. Please feel free to share with your friends and family so that we can all play a part in impacting this world, one step at a time.

I'm proud to present to you the krapyDNA kickstarter project which features our new collection titled "Faithfulness." If you're not sure what kickstarter is, check out this FAQ page that will explain it better than I can.
I've been really motivated and convicted these days to take krapyDNA and all that it stands for to the next level. I thought kickstarter would be a great way to keep moving forward so be sure to check out our project and see what's going on!

Here's a detailed look at all the rewards offered through this project!

vinyl sticker (4.5" x 1")

krapyhead pullover hoody (blk/wht) - features a custom stitched krapyhead appliqué

The next four shirts are part of the "Faithfulness" collection

krapy camo logo tee - This shirt and the krapy camo type tee were inspired by Psalm 139:14 - "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Part of God's faithfulness to us is that he even created us in the first place. Every little detail about us was considered by God when we were created. These two camo tees acknowledge that by deconstructing our krapy logo down to individual parts to create the camo background. The face, the eyes, the hat, and the brim were all separated to show that God made us with such attention to detail and for that He deserves to be praised.

kD logo tee - This is probably our most subtle shirt to date, but it's one of my favorites. It's inspired by Psalm 23:2-4 - "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

Shield - This shirt was inspired by Genesis 15:1 - "After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward."
